KK Ultra bits take advantage of the exceptional sensitivity of the tongue in order to provide effective but gentle communication between horse and rider. Sprenger undertook years of research to determine how to design the optimum bit and the KK Ultra was born as a result of this.

The tongue is so extremely sensitive that it multiplies perceptions in this area dramatically. The Double jointed KK ULTRAs have a middle link, known as the bean, that is shortened and angled forward by 45 degrees. When the reins are pulled the middle part of the KK ULTRA fully rests on the tongue without squeezing and the connection rings roll on the tongue. The tongue's sense of touch is utilised and clear instructions can be given.

KK Ultra Loose Ring Snaffles are made from SENSOGAN® which is a new scientifically proven bit material developed by Sprenger. Sensogan is the result of on-going development and improvement of Sprenger's original bit material Aurigan®. This material has been tested and is proven to have a very positive effect on the horse's acceptance of the bi and motivation and willingness to perform.
